This page is exclusively for members of the Bedford swim Team.  Even though exclusive, you are welcome to read, view, download anything you wish to your heart's desire.  The forms are of no use to you unless you intend to use them as examples/samples for your own swim team.

You may find items here such as: special featured articles on swimming, training clinics for BST only, stroke techniques, technical tips, forms, and other information pertaining to BST.  Though we try to provide a few interesting articiles to read, if you should have any good articiles or team information that you would like to provide/contribute to us to post here for all to view, please do so.  It is appreciated.

GENERAL  INFORMATION
  


 

Registration for the team is complete, and we have 164 swimmers this year! This message contains the schedule of BST events, but please be sure to check the team website at www.bedfordswimteam.org frequently in the weeks to come for late-breaking news.

GSSA Stroke & Turn Clinic
Thursday, June 24th from 6:30-9:00pm at the Bedford Library. For any swim team parent interested in becoming a Meet Official, GSSA Fee: $20.00. Contact: Gregg Weber, greggweber@comcast.net for more information and to register.

Mandatory Parents' Meeting
Wednesday, June 7th from 7:30-8:30pm at the Bedford Town Hall. At least one parent from each swim team family is REQUIRED to attend. Details and directions are on the team website.

New Swimmer Evaluations
Monday, June 25th at 8:00am at the Bedford Town Pool. Required for all newly registered swimmers who have never swum for BST before, to assure they meet the requirements for their age group, and to meet the coaching staff.

Regular Practice Begins Tuesday, June 26th per the following schedule:

     6:45-7:30:     13-14 and 15-19, In-Water and/or Dry land Practice (Optional)
     7:30-8:30:     13-14 and 15-19, Swim Practice
     8:30-9:15:     11-12 and 9-10, Boys Practice
     9:15-10:00:   8&U and 9-10, Girls Practice

Meet Schedule
Each swimmer must compete in a minimum of 2 regular meets in order to participate in the Championship Meet on August 7-8. All meets are in the morning, with BST warm-ups at 7:00am for home meets, 7:30am for away meets, and concluding by 12noon. More details on meets will be forthcoming at the Parents' Meeting and on the team website.

   Sat-Sun, 8/7-8 GSSA State Championships, Dover, NH
   Sat, 8/7am:  All 10 and Under events (25 yard pool)
   Sat, 8/7pm:  All 11-and-Older distance events (200 free, 200 IM) (50 meter pool)
   Sun, 8/8:  All Day Event:  All remaining 11-and-Older events (50 meter pool)

Monday 8/9:  (8-10am) Post-Champs Award Pick-Up at Town Pool
